WHAT PEOPLE SAY

“ I started with Julian in 2005 with high blood pressure and in poor shape. Two sessions per week in the gym helped me to survive a huge accident which resulted in a major spinal injury and over 5 months in hospital. My weekly sessions increased to five and I owe my miraculous recovery to Julian. Believe it or not, I enjoy the sessions too! “

Jane Hickson

JANE HICKSON

After already working in the leisure industry for 11 years since gaining a degree in Physical Education from Chester College, I re-trained as a Personal Trainer, Sports Therapist & Massage Therapist with Premier Training, gaining a Diploma in FTST (Fitness Training and Sports Therapy). I then started work at Eccleston Wellness Centre in 1998, where I still work with personal training clients and also specialise in sports massage therapy.

I then completed my level 3 Pilates award in 2010 and offer One2one Pilates sessions at Chester Wellness Centre for all levels including Beginners, Intermediate & Advanced levels. I also recently added to my Pilates skill set with Pilates for Orthopaedic Conditions and Ante & Post-Natal exercise and can offer this specialism.

Pete Rhodes

PETE RHODES

Pete has been involved in the fitness industry for over 25 years in a variety of roles.

He completed his initial Sports degree here in Chester and at first specialised in the field of health & fitness testing before moving on to being more directly involved in gym management where he specialised in running corporate health centres for companies such as Shell Research.

Throughout his career Pete has been involved in personal training and is now fully focused on individual and small group training as well as working as a remedial massage therapist. In addition to helping people of all ages improve fitness levels and to manage their weight, Pete relishes the opportunity to help clients prepare for a sporting challenge or to recover from injury or illness.

Pete works hard to ensure his training sessions are both varied & stimulating. Utilising aspects of functional-training tools such as suspension training, alongside the excellent range of cardio and resistance equipment here at the Wellness Centre, training sessions with Pete are challenging, progressive and above all - fun!
